Foil control and logging of production data

A manufacturer for printed packaging foils in the pharmaceutical industry is automatically performing different measurements during the cutting process. These measuring values are to be saved and a PDF-test protocol is to be printed at the end of production.

The foil roll has an approx. dimension of 1 x 1'200 m and can be split in up to 20 pices per roll. The foil speed reaches 120m / min. The space within the existing wrapping and cutting machine is very limited.

QualiVision has developed and implemented a compact solution with 2 special line sensors of 8'192 pixels each.
