Print void control, OCR and bar code identification of CDs

Foils with printed digital images are applied to CDs at regular intervals. Personalised data such as names, PIN numbers or codes may also be printed individually on CDs. This data is scanned and matched against the printer database.

Print voids can occur during the production process. To control this issue, a high resolution camera records an image, analyses it and generates an accept/reject signal. Faulty CDs are filtered out of the production process.

Comparison samples can be uploaded and parameters such as fault size set via a simple user interface. The Standard Software QualiReader can control up to 100 CDs per minute.
