Secure letter printing and assembly
A large telecommunications company sends out several million directly addressed letters each month. It is necessary to ensure that each customer receives the correct pages and that letters are not sent in duplicate or missed out altogether. This large quantity of letters is produced and prepared for mailing in highly automatised printing and enveloping facilities. Badly creased or erroneously packaged letters are filtered out of the process.
Prior to stacking and banding, letters are scanned by a camera system, recording document identification numbers saved as part of the datamatrix-code and comparing them against an index file generated during the print process. QualiVision has developed a safe concept to inspect outgoing letters and automatically re-print any incomplete or omitted items directly in the ongoing production process.
